Jennifer Fitscher, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Fitscher grew up in Plattsburgh and currently lives here. She received an undergraduate degree from State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego in 2005, and a DVM degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
Before joining Champlain Valley Veterinary Services, Dr. Fitscher practiced at the Aurora Pet Hospital in East Aurora, New York. She has a special interest in veterinary surgery.
At home, Dr. Fitscher has two dogs – a Goldendoodle and a Chocolate Labrador – and a domestic short haired cat.
Cathy Parent, DVM
Dr. Cathy Parent joined the Champlain Valley Veterinary Services team in October 2015. A New York native, she grew up in Churubusco and currently lives here in Plattsburgh. She attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Canton and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) for undergraduate studies before earning a DVM degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Dr. Parent has practiced at other New York veterinary practices including Mooers Animal Hospital and High Peaks Animal Hospital, as well as Knoxville Animal Hospital in Tennessee, and Big Cypress Animal Hospital in Naples, Florida. Her veterinary interests include laser surgery, equine medicine, and geriatric medicine.
At home, Dr. Parent has a dog and a horse. Her hobbies include equine carriage driving, snowshoeing, and reading. She is also a licensed minister.
