Jacquelyn Bentley, DVM — Chief of Staff

Jacquelyn Bentley, DVMDr. Bentley, our Chief of Staff, has been practicing at Champlain Valley Veterinary Services since 1998. A native New Yorker, she grew up in Rome and now lives in Plattsburgh. Dr. Bentley completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY Cortland in 1990. After earning a DVM degree from Cornell University in 1995, she worked at a mixed animal practice in Southern Vermont until she moved to Plattsburgh in 1998. Dr. Bentley has a special interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Bentley enjoys all types of outdoor recreation — especially skiing, snowmobiling and riding ATVs. Her hobbies also include reading, art and photography. Dr. Bentley is married with two children and enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two Golden Retrievers and one cat.

Amanda Lutzy, DVM — Associate Veterinarian

Amanda Lutzy, DVMDr. Lutzy joined the Champlain Valley Veterinary Services team as an associate veterinarian in June 2012. She was raised in Saranac, New York and now lives in Dannemora. Dr. Lutzy attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in May 2008. She then went on to earn a DVM degree from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in May 2012. She has a special interest in ophthalmology and surgery.

When not at work, Dr. Lutzy enjoys many outdoor activities including softball, tennis, hiking, and skiing. She has two pets — a dog named Nora, a Terrier mix, and a cat named Violet, a domestic shorthair.


Olivia Busuttil-Cashman, DVM — Associate Veterinarian

Olivia Busuttil-Cashman, DVMDr. Olivia Busuttil-Cashman, DVM completed her undergraduate degree at SUNY Plattsburgh and completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. A native New Yorker at heart, Dr. Cashman grew up in Long Island and decided to move back to the state to practice medicine. Her work experience includes a clinical year at Cornell University, a general small animal medicine and surgical internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists, and work as an Emergency Clinician. She joined Champlain Valley Veterinary Services in June 2013.
